The SCITEQ end-closures for large diameters model 1525 are produced purely in stainless steel. The material has been selected for corrosion resistance, durability and weight.
The Air frame design and low weight eases the handling of large pipe samples. The weight is considerably lower for large diameter pipes compared to traditional large diameter end closures, yet a robust construction has been maintained. The lower weight and design features ensures easy handling when mounting. Further, grips for cranes have been
incorporated.
End closures without a tie-bar are produced for pipes in PE, PVC and PP. End closures are produced with a specific depth from O-ring to the internal bottom which ensures that even on chamfered and oval PE-pipes, the end-closure for large diameters is tight while pressurizing. The SCITEQ Air Frame end closures are used for relatively low pressures up to max. 60 bar in combination with temperatures between 20 to 95 degrees. The SCITEQ end closures model 1525 complies with the standards ASTM D 1598, ASTM D 1599 and ISO 1167.
