The SCITEQ Impact tester Frictionless vacuum is equipped with a unique closed vacuum loop, enabling extremely fast repeat of tests as well as safe and precise adjustment. The system has built-in impact speed measurement to prove the falling velocity of each test. Weights can be exchanged in seconds and all parameters are easily selected via the user-friendly control panel.
The SIGMA software is intuitive and easy to use, while making sure the testing is done correct and according to the different standards. The web browser based UI, can be accessed from all browser based devices, PC, Tablet, smart phone. Four different user levels enables the main operator to pre-program test recipes open for all users ensuring fast and reliable testing on every impact. Drop height, impact quantity and drop weight is entered in the recipe prior to use. The combination of a superior speed measuring system measuring drop speed with a resolution in micro seconds and the automatic calculation of H50 and TIR makes the SIGMA software best in class.
Simply place the sample on the V-block, close the chamber and initiate the test from the SIGMA UI (iPad, pc, smart phone). Inside the falling tube, the striker is effortlessly lifted into place by the vacuum system. The frictionless environment inside the falling tube ensures accurate results and fewer mechanical parts to maintain.
Upon impact, the striker is immediately lifted by the vacuum system, ensuring no double bouncing. The SIGMA Impact Tester complies with the standards ASTM D 2444, ISO 3127, EN 1411 and EN 744.
When starting up the impact machine the system auto-calibrates, giving you 100% reliable and repeatable performance. To prove each test, the impact speed monitoring system provides you with all the information you need, including the speed of the striker.
The solution is equipped with a wide range of safety features preventing a release of the impact weight, unless the doors are closed. When you perform round-the-clock repeat tests, the striker weight can be locked in its safety position in the top of the tube, allowing the operator to easily turn the sample before safely repeating the test.
